I adore this game. How much do I adore it? During the free month of Nitro, I played and beat this game's main campaign, played the Survival Challenge over and over for nearly the whole month, then bought the game full price on Steam just to show the Devs how much I love this charming, beautiful work of art.

The main campaign is short, but very enjoyable with an emotional story. The writing isn't anything legendary, but the charm is overwhelming and the characters are incredibly lovable. The world-building is both compelling and delightful.

The actual gameplay is a bit out of my normal genre. 2D platforming has never been something I'm very good at, but taking Kirin's Boots helps make it a far more managable issue. The interactions between wildlife make for interesting strategy, though the animations can make it somewhat difficult to tell when mobility is returned and when the player is touching the ground to dash away.

I ended up remapping the keys and the game does play better with a controller, but keyboard play is perfectly fine.

If you enjoy the core campaign, Survival is a great next step, though it is infinitely less forgiving about taking damage which was a hard shift for me.

Overall, my only complaint about this game is how short it is. At $20, it's a good bang for your buck but I want MORE. DLC for more maps, creatures, judges, characters, and more content in general would be an insta-buy from me.

So glad they brought this classic to Steam!! I've already spent over two hours playing it. Such sweet memories. I'll be buying it for my mom soon, as this was her favorite PopCap game (besides Luxor of course).. Great little indie game. It didn't work when I dl windows 10. Went in setting and changed the display to 125% and now it works. Hope this helps others. Simple but fun game.. Total ♥♥♥♥ing Rip off, Game does not work on my very powerfull computer. Does not evens start i just get an error message. A bit racist and weird, but it's okay.. Pretty addictive and challenging, your reflexes will really be put to the test as you figure out how to chain rockets together for those massive combos.. I use to spend hours playing this as a kid, almost to an obsessive level. The skill is so etched to my memory that after almost a decade of not playing this, I actually improved my score.

It may look simple, but I can guarantee that most current gamers will still struggle to get their rockets to Lv 10

  english is not my main language so i will apollogize upfront for some grama and spelling mistakes but i decided to write this in english so more people can read this)
  
  I realy like the series and i enjoyed PCM 16 even it has crashes until today.
  But this year you are selling us an early beta (even more an early access alpha) as a full price game thats not correct.
  This "game" has so many game breaking bugs thats not even acceptable for a free to play game.
  The game is now out for 8 day's and i am not able to play since 6 of them due to a bug in pro cycling (main reason to buy the game for me). I reported this bug (UCI WC ITT) and two days ago there was the information you fund the bug and had a fix but you didn't relased him. WHY? Now it's weekend that means another 2-3 day not playing atleast.
  If that's the way you will treaten your customers?
  I know Cyanid is a small studio and you didn't have the oportunities of a tripple A devoloper and thats fine but especial as a smaler dev you should even try to do the best game you can and if that's is your best i see a dark or may no future for you.
  
  So enough raged let's go to my resume until now.

So i can re-shedule domestics and maybe cancel or ad some races if i had not enogh fit drivers)

  - better loading times (still long but improved due to last year)
  
  - less gaming crashing

  - new black&white race bar in time trail has such a bad contrast its much harder to see how many track is left compared to energy (looks fency but makes the game worse)
  
  - still glitching bars and viewers on the track (looks ugly but by all the major bug are in this game a smaler problem)
  
  - planing a season specialy in team career needs hours before you can go to your first race. It's anoying and espacialy for new players nearly impossible to understand.
  
  general resume:
  If you already own 2016 or an older version don't buy untill all the major bugs are fixed and enjoy the your version (use a databank for 2017) and wait for a sale because this version is not worth the full price (unfortunally) it's more an DLC than a full price game.
  
  I realy hope Cyanid will fix all this bugs and make this game playable.
  
  I will revue this in some weeks if i see some major improvements till them my resume is don't buy.
  
  a realy disapointed "fan". Any game that I buy on sale and gives me 200+ hours of enjoyment is good.
  
  I played PCM 2013 a fair bit, so this was an upgrade for me. The changes to being able to follow team members at all parts of a race is a nice improvement. The graphics are generally improved, although some people still go through objects at times.
  
  The only real criticism is that there is little variation to AI tactics. It would be good to seem some more random factors at play.. I didn't want to believe the comments. That costed me € 40 (keep the 1 cent).
  
  Went quite good the first few hours. A refund never came to mind. Then the crashes started.... Minor improvements for the career (Pro Cyclist) mode. You get objectives for each 3D race, which makes those long stages a little less boring. However, the keyboard keeps bugging out - you can change pace or direction via numpad: sprinting is impossible. Another big BS point is the stats of riders like Degenkolb or Sagan, who can do everything. It's not possible to progress your own rider like this (75+ at hills, flats, sprints, cobbles, TT).
  The game looks better than previous editions, but the menu has the same UI and the same annoying pop ups. Luckily I barely paid 10 bucks for this. Meh.. The Pro Cycling Manager series... I have played this game for over 3 years now and I think I know one or two things about this game. This game is perfect for the gamer who loves cycling and wants to relax and enjoy there freetime.

  This year they totally improved the game on aspects like: Graphics, Sound, Gameplay, AI, Management, Rider progress, Sponsors and a lot more cool features. If you would compare 2015 with 2016 you will see no difference, if you compare 2016 with 2017 you just can't deny 2017 is much better.

  I gave you my opinion and view about this game. Some of you will not agree with me some will. Overall it does not matter, why? Becuase it's you who likes a game or not.
  
  For me is the Pro Cycling series one of my favourite games I have ever played and I will defintly recommend it to you.

  So for all the people who are considering to buy this game I can only say one thing. If you love cycling and you are a management/stratagy gamer this is your game.. Game is fun for those new to this genre, which I am.

  Though I dislike npc seeming to become better and have more stamina than what their ratings say,
  Ive tried to lose against a lvl 70 in mountain terrain when I had 82 I attacked set a pace of 75 which is very high uphill especially for a lvl 70 but nevertheless he caught up and won by over 2 min.......Damm that EPO.
  
  Other things I dislike is the way the npc block the entire road meaning if you have to gather water it will take you 10-15 km to get to the front, othertimes on hills this means even though you got 100 skill point as a mountain climber you will get stuck behind those in the 20ies placement since its in these whereabouts they use the entire road meaning they block you, and drag you down . Dumb and DUmb Ai where the Fairplay at which every cyclers is know for having they almost never take up all road there will almost alway be space for the fast people to get forward, due to the respect they have for one another.
  
  Graphics trucks in the middle of road, people in the middle of road, car is in the way, MC are in the way, spectaters halfed due to clipping through ground level.
  
  (default setting) Mouse curser will not work or work correct when upscaling, using 1600x900 full screen (there is a fix for this which I found out by playing with the options.ini file)
  
  Game doesnt use all cores, laggy, got problems with schedule yea game has way too many bugs.
  
  Im on the Fence of whether I should recommend this game, though it is very fun to play, and I hope they will fix all those nasty bugs, cus there are way too many of em.
  
  As game is now its a 51% for and 49% against meaning you could wait for a spell or 2, untill they have fixed all them bugs.
  Or you could live with the bugs for now knowing they will fix the bugs, if you cant live with a very buggy game then wait.
  
  If you can then this is recommended. I've been playing PCM since 2007, and each year I ignore that I know the game will still be in late Beta by the time it releases, I take the game with a real name DB right off the bat and then wait until PCM Daily releases their expansion DB for player photos, more continental teams, etc. 5 hours into the game, I've got half a season of Pro Cyclist mode and through March of my first Manager career. This edition is by far the most complete version to be released, and amazingly, has not had any critical failures yet (I think back to last year, when I could not connect with a log in for the first week).
  
  The major changes are only those which have been advertised, so do not expect a wildly different game from last year. I recommend the game to any cycling fan, especially those that are a fan of the series. I'm sure there will be bugs the community will uncover, as always. But compared to some of the most popular early access games available on Steam, this game runs as good or better.
  
  Well done Cyanide. This is the most successful release you've had to date.. Good game (Best cycling game out there), but just continual bugs makes me a bit upset. The game hasnt really changed much over the last few years (Same Track DB for the last 5-6 years, same commentary lines etc).
  
  We still have stupid bugs like ghosting through cars, HUD glitches etc, but this year it seems buggier than ever. At the start we had the schedule glitches (Thankfully have been patched, and the devs seem to be a bit more caring this year), sprint stat being bugged and practically useless, fitness peaks making riders waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too OP when simulating, as well as a few other visual bugs and stuff.
  
  My main let down is scheduling. Gone are the days where you could individually schedule a whole riders schedule, and every race they would be involved in. It means now I have to move back to the trusty old excel spreadsheet to avoid over racing my Grand Tour riders.
  
  The whole Madison fiasco was also a huge let down. I know there is a good relationship between the youtube community of the game and the devs, which seems to have strengthened this year with regular appearances from staff members in discord servers asking questions, reporting bugs etc, but I was hyped for some actual changes to track cycling as it hasn't been changed in about 5-6 years.
  
  Overall, as a cycling fan I love it, but as a gamer I don't. It's good to see mutliplayer has always had a lobby or two up to play, and pro cyclist multiplayer is a lot of fun too.

Superlatives is pretty great. Both the story and characters are interesting, and if superheroes or steampunk is your thing I think you'll enjot it. There is definatly a whole lot of potential here. I'll certainly pick up the sequel.

One thing I thought was kind of strange was with how early and how they were introduced I thought Hollow was going to be a more major character, and maybe even a RO.. Pro: You get to befriend a nice plant lady from Venus.

It has some very interesting characters and a satisfying enough choice system that makes doing multiple playthroughs actually interesting. If you enjoyed games like Heros Rise or choice of robots u should enjoy this .. Highly recommended if you love the Heroes Rise Trilogy. Characters are fleshed out, and your choices feel like they matter. There are also tons of ways to play the game, even changing your fighting style gets you something different. The pacing is also good; I never got bored or skipped a paragraph like I do when CYOA authors get carried away with descriptions.

<MAJOR SPOILER ALERTS>
Only two things I dislike about the game: One, weird glitch where Dusk gets abducted because you ran off to check on Gatsby even after choosing to protect her. Two, didn't like the ending so much. The shift in POV is jarring, I didn't like that I was abruptly yanked away from this character I had spent a good deal of time with. Would be less annoying if it was actually a setup for the sequel, though.. Pro: You get to befriend a nice plant lady from Venus.

I'm definitely looking forward to re-playing so I can make different choices and see how things play out differently. A+. A very enjoyable adventure to play through, especially if you enjoy these types of industrial revolution/HG Wells settings. There's a few bits of story elements that don't really see fruitation into the storyline, but overall it's still solid writing with satisfying epilogues at the end.. Pretty great..
